SOCIAL/DEVELOPMENT SECTOR

Co-led research, strategy & solution design of risk reduction & HIV transmission among adolescent girls & young women (AGYW) in Tanzania: A behavioral economics based understanding of cash transfers (CTs) & potential impact of broad basing CTs.

Conducted comprehensive secondary research & developed a detailed stakeholder map, analyzing the current system landscape to facilitate impactful discussions on the critical issue of domestic violence in Ontario. This work provided a foundation for informed dialogue & strategic interventions.

Developed a visual systems map to depict the transition experiences of two Canadian military personas returning to civilian life, highlighting the challenges veterans face post-discharge, including gaps in support, as evidenced by 38% of veterans struggling with reintegration (Veterans Affairs Canada, 2011). Developed a business model called ‘Project Homeward Bound’ that focussed on how to enable healthy transitions back into civilian culture.

END-OF-LIFE-CARE

Founded Maajhi that creates experiences & tools to empower people to prepare for the end of life in meaningful ways. A first of its kind in India & has received global recognition & coverage in newspapers, podcasts & events.

Single-handedly introduced Death Over Dinner in India, & facilitated meaningful conversations about end of life to more than 300 people in India. Since DoD’s launch in 2012, there have been 250,000 dinners globally.

Core team member who conceived, built, & launched the first global End-of-Life (EOL) Collective, a digital platform for caregivers, care seekers, & service providers.

Independent study project for a Canadian home health organization that comprised of research & analysis on smart fabrics. By using foresight & human factor tools, the report addressed current uses, opportunities in the health sector & recommendations to gain user adoption to enable aging well at home.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Partnered with Karunashraya, an award-winning hospice in India for their annual education program for psycho-oncologists. The course has received endorsement from the International Psycho-oncology Society.

Completed a 1-year death meditation training & has been leading meditations for over three years.

Co-authored a book that introduces & explains loss to children.
